Even though I always had the bigger sleepers, I always thought these looked so cool.
The small flat top box seems to accentuate the hood and stacks.
I travel light nowadays. I don't travel with a bunch of toys and only out 3-4 nights per week.
This would be ideal. Plus I like to sleep in little cozy places.

"Coffin sleepers" are how things used to be done anyway, right?
-
Here is a guy sleeping in an actual coffin. I found that looking for something else.
I have heard of trucks way before my time, like the 40s or 50s that had a sleeper tube with a hatch in the floorboard and the tube was parallel with the engine.
I have never seen one, but I think that is where the coffin phrase came from. -
Yes, now that you mention it, I've heard of those too. The KW "Half-cab" trucks come to mind as well.
The term seems to be used for any flat top below 60" now- that's why I used it, though historically I was wrong to.
How about the one's that were underneath or in the nose of the trailer?
Maybe just lay a piece of plywood across the seats? I've heard of guys doing that too. Back in the day certainly was different. -
