That is the same camera that us xpress has used 12 years....

If mounted centered over the stear axle (bottom edge eye level with the 4 wheelers eyes) it will show their plate, their face, all the way down the side of your trailer, the view will from the side of the truck and out 90° so yes it will show people coming down the ramp.

The night vision is great. If the truck is at 90° it will light the all of the trailer.. it's good enough that at night in a dark lot you can blindside with it... yes you really can

In the pic see the ring of little infer red led lights....??... at night if you look they light a faint red BUT for the camera it's like a flood light...

@AM 561 If you cover the connections with heat shrink it 6E92BCD9-0D84-4596-92A2-039D1E750FFD.jpeg E42E79F6-E6CC-4B5A-B557-A23FD7BEA381.jpeg seems to help keep the corrosion from happening as quickly inside the connections. The bottom pic is the cable I found on Amazon that has the removable rubber sleeve that works as well as the heat shrink.

Inside the plug dielectric grease did not work on mine because the video feed would not go thru with the grease. After I cleaned the grease off the inside I used a very small amount on the threads to help keep moisture out before I put the heat shrink on. Since then I have had no issues with those plugs.

Did you buy a system for the new truck?
