    Michigan used to allow 173,000 lbs on 13 axles. A well-known photo shows H. Buskirk's 12v71 Hendrickson BD420-F6 hauling a 125,000 lb. payload with 169,000 lb gross weight.     Hi heyns, that's awesome.That's a lot of tires to "bump". And pulling it with a "buzzin' dozen", wow. I knew a guy with a V-12 Detroit in a cabover Freightliner, it was the fastest truck out there( for it's time, '70's) when it ran, that is.

    I think Washington allows 106,000 lbs without a permit.
