Ok, I got my paperwork from Averitt today. They are no longer on my list. I cannt make the money and get the miles I want with Averitt. I need to make 700.00 week(net). Or it is not worth being away from my family week or weeks at a time. Time to start look at the other ones now.

Man, you are RIGHT ON for having an opinion about Maverick. You DID work there, so you know firsthand.

I don't know if the other posters have ever worked for the companies they said to avoid.

I know that Roehl starts you out at like $.30/mile and you go up every 3 months or so. They have a few different Hometime programs for you to consider. Lots of people on here say to stay away from Werner. I don't know anything about the other places though.

I have just recently started driving for Roehl.I am an experienced driver,(8 yrs.)So far Roehl has been up front with everything, and seem to be a very good company. When I went thru orientation they had drivers right out of school there also.I would definitly reccomend them. They have different programs for getting home,I am on a 7 on 7 off program. They have another 7 on 3 off 7 on 4 off program.According to some other posts here if you go regular national you will be home every other weekend, unless you request to stay out longer.

hmm i may have to check into that 7 on 2 or 3 off thing... i'm doing 14 on, 2-3 off through schneider, and while they've been good at getting me decent miles and good at getting me home on time, its just a long time to be away from your regular life...

and i'm only getting .28 cents a mile :( thats only for the first 6 months though, then it is supposed to go to 30, then 34 after a year... but we'll see i guess.

I have always wondered if there was such a forum.

So far, companies are allowed to state negative information about a former driver at will on our DAC report. This can hurt fair chances of finding a new job. False or misleading information should be banned. We should be provided copy of our DAC report any time there is a change. We should be given the option to officially rebutt and/or tell our side of the story.

This driver desires to be told the truth, treated with dignity and not to be placed into situations involving pressures to resort to ethical breaches.

I tell it like it is, but not many companies seem to like that, unless they can use any info to manipulate me in some way.

I keep experiencing pressure to cheat on my logbook in order to get deliveries there on time, which is extremely contrary to my own inner compass. Dispatching loads late is no reason to expect us to clean up their mess!

In apparent retaliation, for refusing to comply with their tactics, I have been punished by low mileage and missed home time requests, etc.

Anyone else having this kind of complaint?

Currently trying to move to another company. Any input would be appreciated.

I do not have regular internet access, so if you respond, it may take me a while to get back to you.

    Thanks for your input!!

There aint enough cyberspace for me to tell my experiences with different companies, especially since I retired. You wouldnt believe them anyway.
