Sorry to hear the recruiter hasn't called back yet. Is it Sarah? That's the one that just spoke at our class last Thursday. If that's your recruiter, then you can call her assistant Amanda McCarthy about your app status as well. As far as your concerns, I don't have any experience yet, but am just as concerned about backing as you....you're never supposed to do it unless you have to (which of course is during deliveries), they said like 90% or so of all accidents occur while backing. I'd say your concern is legit, but whether it keeps you from accepting a certain job or not, should depend on how well you straightline back, etc, and feel about backing once you've practiced it a bunch. OTR will definitely have a lot less docking....but on the other hand....if you dock a lot, you're certain to get pretty good at it! LOL

    Hey guys,

I am a shy guy ( Icant stand large groups of ppl but I can handle one or 2 at a time.) Should I turn away from trucking or do you think I will be ok. I havent started yet but will be attending at PDI in New Buffalo, MI. Then I am looking into TMC, Maverick and H.O> wolding as my top 3. Just wondering if you have any advice for a guy that has a shy personality. I figured it would be ok considering you are on the road more than anything and of course I may get over it. Any help out there? Plus any help on those companies would be appreciated.
