Boy. I haven't been here since I left C.R. England. May God have mercy on that company's collective souls. I tried to do different things since then, even trying to get into the Army. But I ran into a snag and am tired of waiting, so I'm going to give trucking another shot. If all three of these companies accept me, which one would you recommend? I like no touch freight and would prefer to avoid the northeast. Marten, CFI, and Melton. Oh, I think J.B. Hunt's still calling me. Keep calling fools!

Sorry, hit wrong button.
All 3 go to the Northeast. Melton is flatbed. Martin is on a downward spiral (JMO), and CFI has wierd equipment repair rules that drivers must follow. Not one of the companies has 100% no-touch freight. -
I know nothing about Hirshbach, but I drive for Roehl.Roehl is a pretty good outfit but they aint perfect. However they will listen to your gripes and do their best to straighten things out for you. They will definitly get you home on time, and get you decent miles. As far as the lease purchase programs are concerned,I would steer clear of them.I am an ex owner operator, and I think if you want to buy a truck,go to a reputible dealer and buy one and finance it thru the proper channels. Then you are truly in the drivers seat and can make your own decisions, about who you want to lease to,etc. If you have good credit get some figures and talk to your banker about a loan to buy it,which is the way I went. The interest rate was much better.I have talked with some of the people on lease purchase programs, and there is no way they will ever have a clear title to the truck. These are my opinions, and others here might feel differently, about the lease purchase. As for hooking up with a company to drive for get in touch with Roehl.

Lease are scams and you actually will make less money.. They control you success directly to the amount of miles they give you..
Buy your own if you can.. -
