I worked for P.A.M and they do not pay well and they have automatic trucks and I don't trust them but some drivers like them I only lasted about a half of a year with them. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!

BTT is a great company to work for.. I work soley on containers and containers is a up and down business there is slow downs but not for BTT seeing they own Maersk or vise versa and Maersk now owns P&O Neddlloyd they keep their drivers working. They pay only one ways but everytime the driver needs to lay over they pay it. I belive they start at $1.10 loaded and .95 mty miles. I have a couple guys that used to work for me that work for BTT now in Elwood,IL say they make around $3200-4500 weekly.

My time with BTT was a 'non-starter'. Many years ago I answered an ad in the local paper looking for drivers and o/os'. BTT took my application and sent me through my physical, drug tests, etc. I was then introduced to an o/o who had a truck he wanted to 'fill', a 1980 KW cabover daycab. He stated it would be ready shortly as it was being 'prepped' after being off of the road for a substantial period.
To make a long story short, it stayed in the shop as systems repeatedly 'failed' (air and electrical). After 10 days of making no money (he did buy me lunch once) I departed for what should have turned out to be the best job in my career (in another thread). BTT still shows up in my DAC to this day. Several months later I saw the same tractor parked outside a restaurant I frequented; spotted the person who was obviously the driver as I had never seen him before. He stated the truck was 'trouble free' and he was making decent money moving containers arond the area - I shook his hand.

did you really need to say this: "Is this company run by [a criminal organization] or something?"
i take it somewhat personally when someone refers anything to the "[edited]". who are you to degrade a heritage of people (italian's of which i am) and denounce us publicly here on these boards...??
i think you could have said "MOB" and i wouldn't have flinched. but using the word [edited] rubs me the wrong way, as its very insulting to me and my italian heritage.
after re-reading the original posters thread, i can see where its been almost 2 months now since "she" has even been here to look at the responses.
Note: Please members, do not use phrases that may potentially refer to people of a race, that may be viewed negatively. The edit in this post of Pro1driver's was edited in response to his personal objection of wording in the post which can be found at the start of this thread. -
You won't get an answer. She posted this question, and as near as I can tell never came back to read the answers.
One of my pet peeves on here is people that ask a question, you take the time to do a little research and answer it, and they never come back. It wastes all of our time when that happens. -

Upsizer,
Where did you go to school?

DEFINITELY stay away from Cypress out of FL. From the many testimonials
Ive read they seem to have nothing but trucks that have bad brakes and are in HORRENDOUS shape. They also have a VERY slow brakedown response should something go wrong. I have never driven for them but 50 similar reports on them should tell you something. Not to mention problems getting paid. Mcelroy might be the better choice of the three. Good Luck. -
Maybe, Cypress has cleaned up it's act since my post. I certainly hope so. In my opinion a good company determines success as having an atmosphere and company policies that include recognizing the needs and welfare of all of it's employees, not just how much profit the owners make. But, as I stated please don't depend entirely on my post to make you decision about them. -
Di Pietro's is very family oriented, most of the drivers have been there for 10++ years. Everything that I have found has been everything I am looking for in a company and more. I am very impressed with this company.
I am not sure about the nwnewbie response, I don't think that this is the same company, that the nwnewbie is talking about.
