I applied for my haz mat endorsement and got it and I just took a written test, filled out form to be sent off to the feds, took fingerprints and got both letters from the transportation feds and from the dps saying they accepted it,I went back to the drivers license to get my new class a cdl with X endorsement.I never had to tell them anything about work history! :)

CRST does require I think it was 15 months of any kind of employment in the past 3 years. They do verify during orientation. They also require a notorized statement from 2 individuals for periods of unemployment.

I don't think CRST will hire you if you haven't worked or been in school at least 15 months in the last 3 years.
