    Radio ...cobra 142 gtl base ssb. My meters are stuck is that causing me not to hear my base station in my mobile

    Could it be that a bit more information about the "meters are stuck" part might help elicit an answer?

    I think he is saying that someone around him is playing music, on any channel and this is destroying his receive of his base.

    No, “hear his base station in his mobile”. Mobile is receiving. But meterogray is correct. This post is incomprehensible.

    That's true but I heard the same thing from people who didn't understand the terminology to explain the problem, even one ham who said "the needles are pinned before the beeps" he meant that he is near the repeater and when someone spoke, the little meter on the radio moved to the max.
