Music over the p.a. System

It's probably a sneaky way to promote sales of Sirius radio. I've heard country and 80s most often. If it's a good song I'll start bopping my head along to the music or do a little dance while I'm cleaning my windshield.

I'd love to be outside fueling and hear the Beach Boys singing "California Girls".

 

I was dropping a big whopper listening to the big bopper in the men's room at the Weatherford Petro the other day.

 

I can't believe there is actually a thread about the music a t/s plays.

 

A while back I got an email survey from t/a. Asked if I noticed the music in the stores, then asked about my musical preferences. I'm guessing the majority of responses were for oldies.

 

Not only that, you even took the time to respond to the thread.

 

I for one, don't hang out long enough in truck stops to care what they play. Just gives me more incentive to get my things and get out.

Couple of days ago, I was in two Pilots over the course of a few hours. Both times, upon entering the store, I was abused by the song "Should I Stay Or Should I Go".

I should have left.

 

Also known as trashing the truck stops!

 

I think it's played to appease all the new drivers that came from closed down office and factory jobs.
