Google Earth app on my Iphone. Helps me with finding locations and where i can actually get in compared to what the GPS may say. Also I do not carry a laptop, my phone does it all. I keep a wifi printer in the truck and also print dispatches from my phone (and other documents) called Print Magic.
Must have apps

For those of you that do not like loves, go check out the Loves Facebook page, on Wen this week they posted about opening 3 more tire shops. So i commented about how they are takeing what little parking there POS truck stops have with shops that cant do anything but tires etc....Feel free to add you own comment maybe if enough pissed off drivers take over their facebook page they may actully do somthing!

Seems that it does use some of the parking, but I think the fact they have a tire shop is better than the shops that Pilot and Flying J offer. -
true but we ALL need parking every night, how often do you need a tire on the road?? What about the loves that are right across from the TA? why waste that parking...

I know in my home area, there are not many choices for tire service for many miles. They only took 3 spots.
When Loves put it in, it provided another closer location for the service.
As far as when they put it in when TA is there, makes no sense. -
i just downloaded the Vlingo app for my blackberrry, just talk into the phone and ask it for a scale, truckstop, etc, does texting,e-mail ,goggle searching all hands free, best thing since boudin,AND IT'S FREE IN THE BLACKBERRY APP STORE!

loves tire shops rock, it gets a lot of points on your card!! if you ever use them, they are a michelin place. but i havnt been east in 6 months, i guess this week ill get a refresher on how much it sucks to never have a place to park.

I use the Truxster app a lot, too. And I go back and forth between Beatthetraffic and the traffic view in the iphone's own maps app--neither one is completely reliable for accurate traffic updates. The CAT scale app seems to crash a lot less, at least for me, than the Pilot, Love's, and TA/Petro apps do. The Weather Channel and Google Earth apps have saved the day more times than I can count, and the Voice Recorder comes in handy for recording mileages at state lines. OverDrive is pretty cool for checking out audiobooks and ebooks from libraries, and I post photos from the road on Instagram.
