Must have an internet phone or tablet to come on here for entertainment.

 

Go to a good outfitter store like North 40 or Murdoch's or whatever and get a good 3x AAA LED flashlight. Get a good one with aluminum case, less than $20, and it fits nice in a front pants pocket.

Good for pre and post trip inspections, and verifying that 5th wheel locking bar is engaged.

 

Those little battery packs are awesome. I use them for my phone an Kindle. You can get them very cheap or very expensive depending on your needs. I went cheap. lol. I got one of the more expensive ones though from a buddy who decided it was easier to get rid of then remember to charge it up.

I have a monster one that's like a kajillion lumens or something, but it's just too huge. 3x C cells, just too big to be conveniently always at hand.

A little one like this still has beaucoup lumens, but the key is, it's small enough for that pocket, so it's always with me.

 

Dont forget your want to learn attitude. I see way to many students say I got this I don't need to practice anything. It is very easy to do damage and to cost people money with a class 8 truck. I won't say how i came by this nugget of wisdom except to say not so very long ago I was a student too. Still am actually.
