My guess is the court either had ordered it purged or somehow the DUI never hit your DMV record. I know a guy that lost his job recently because of a DUI he got several years ago. In Canada a DUI is considered a felony and they will block entrance because of it. The guy I was speaking about was having to go into Canada and got blocked. I forgot how they got the load in but this guy was not driving it. He is today trying to get Canada to deem him rehabilitated. Not sure how that is going.

I have quite a story about Canada and DUIs. Ten years after I got mine I was taking 'Chicago' into Canada for some show dates. We got to the border and went in for the standard 'interrogation' which I thought nothing about as I had been in and out of Canada multiple times after I got my DUI without incident. This time, however, was going to be very different. The immigration guy asked me if I had ever been arrested, and of course I wanted to be honest so I told him I had been but it was almost ten years ago. He asked for what and when I told him DUI I was LITERALLY escorted back to the American side under machine gun. They told me I could not come back and I knew that was the end of my bus driving career. I mean....there was the bus sitting in Canada with no driver and a show to get to the next morning. In a panic I called my Dad and told him what was going on. I had found out from the captain on the American side the only way to get past this kind of thing was obtaining something called a 'Minister's Permit' which usually took about 5 or 6 months. I told my Dad about it and he said he would make a couple of phone calls. My Dad was the manager of the Electric Department where we lived, and I knew he had a lot of local power, but I had definitely underestimated him. Within an hour the Captain came back to me with a look of disbelief in his eyes. He said he had been given authorization to issue me a permit on the spot and he had never had that happen in the almost 15 years he had been there. After getting it I walked back to the Canadian side and after being threatened to be shot finally got them to look at the permit, and the look in the eyes of the guy who had sent me back across to begin with was priceless. The guys were just coming out from their 'interviews' and never knew anything had happened and we got back on the bus and went on our way. To this day I don't know how my Dad pulled it off. He only ever said he 'made a few calls' but I found out later on that some major players in our state had been trying for several years to get him to run for governor but he always refused because he said he 'wasn't crooked enough to be a politician'. He died three years ago, just two months after my mother passed away. I still miss him ever day. Sorry about the long winded story.....

I did speak with DMV again and was told that there is nothing that I could do about any of the entries on my MVR/H6 until 2017, since I now hold a CDL...... :(

Does anyone know if there is any kind of 'monitoring'/'subscription' service for MVR's/DAC's that we can use to alert us when someone looks at or adds anything to them?

I'm thinking something kind of like a "LifeLock" service????

Nope. What's on it than your worried about? Any time you look for a driving job they will look at your MVR/H6. Most companies look at the DAC

I just think that it should be monitored like a credit report; I would not be surprised if someone found a way to jack a clean MVR/DAC in a less than honest way for themselves...
