So Werner told me that they go back 5yrs. Which companies go back only three years? I was told since my failure to yield and my 9 mph speeding is not considered major. I should be able to get something decent one. The failure to yield falls off in May of next year.
MVR question: 3 or 5yr difference??

Warnings fall off at three years. Accidents are on record for five years.. Some insurance companies don’t even care about accidents that are more than three years ago.
-
My speeding points fall off in January of next year.

So when that falls off in January.. in February when they pull your report, it just won’t be there, even you won’t see it. If a company really wanted to, they can query into other DMV/Courts databases to find out more information, but then that cost too much and takes too much “office time” or manpower hours
For example, someone in theory let’s say some committed a crime in a certain state.. companies would have to pay that certain state for the persons record and sometimes it’s like $100 to $200 for a record and companies really don’t want to pay that 100s of drivers at a time..
companies just wanna know that in terms of insurance, the driver they are hiring is affordable.TX2Day and CalculatedRisk Thank this. -
That makes sense. I appreciate you answering my questions. It just hit me that the point for my speeding ticket are gone due to traffic school I took. But the points for my failure to yield will fall off in May 25’.

Also, Werner I think is self insured (maybe wrong though) but just like Ryder and Penske and all the huge major carriers/corporations with 10,000+ CMV units. Which basically means they just have a multi million dollar insurance company on the side that they created that separate entity but they use it because it’s theirs so anytime there’s an accident they’re able to pull it into the body shop. They’re able to pull it into the bay they’re able to make an accident disappear. They’re able to pay off whatever.
And Werner is allegedly a pioneer in ELDS since, elogs started in 1998 or 1999.. They work closely with the government.. there’s chances you’ll be going to military bases, run on and off government contracts/routes/lanes.CalculatedRisk Thanks this. -
Now my next question is that could I actually get those points from my May 22’ off my license?
-
Just to clarify its a conviction (MVR & PSP)? or warning(PSP)? Either way on ya record for sure, points/time fall off may 25’ to the date of the conviction 5/15/22 to 5/15/25…
The thing here is if it’s a warning, it would just be on your PSP.. if it’s a conviction it ends up on your MVR but also your PSP.
warnings don’t count towards insurance, convictions do. Some overly safe carriers/companies safety department review certain reports make decisions based on cost analysis and safety
your CSA points are already low for the ticket going into its 3rd year ultimately falling off whether… You have a year left with the ticket conviction or warning.. or whatever reports the tickets marked on
Side note, value towards the CSA score or their CSA score doesn’t matter, also they are interested in hiring you, that's why they reached out, for thought so that’s good to know in general… Because it’s a new hiring company, Werner only cares about insurance cost really.. the other company got the CSA point accrued that you got the ticket with -
Both happened in my personal vehicle. I should’ve clarified that.
