No I know Anthony. This is kind of one of those instances where the law is this weird toss up. I did do some quick reading myself before I posted, and to be honest I'm more confused than before.
I know that the op should be able to request an mvr from the state the offends was committed in, and I know if the op didn't take care of the ticket in some legal fashion it may not show at all. A handful of states only report the violation to your home state if you didn't pay or if the offence isn't "severe" enough to the home state.
Regardless of it not showing, I'd march right back down to your local DMV and ask about it. It'll really suck if you don't get your Cdl as a result of the ticket, but at least you'll be legal and as Anthony said, you won't get stuck someplace and get fired because your license was pulled at a scale or something.
If you don't want to take the risk of not getting your cdl at all... Request an mvr from the state you got your cdl in. If it doesn't show, then I wouldn't worry about it.
But really, I do hope you've slowed it down. (I'm assuming there wasn't a good reason to be speeding at the time.)

I would have to agree..
if you have your MVR in your hand and it isn't showing up..then hush-up about it. -
Your profile says you are not a trucker? Correct? If you don't have a CDL then you did not have any responsibility to notify your home state about this ticket. If the other state didn't than I would just keep my mouth shut about it. I'm sure your car insurance must run your mvr every year. Did you get any kind of a rate increase. They would sure notice something that much over the limit.

Only confess to things that are on record. LOL. If you smoked pot years ago, a month ago, and you never were convicted of any pot laws and there are no records anywhere that you have? You never smoked it. Got it? If your in a desert with nobody around and you back up into and damage a fence with no witnesses and no damage to your trailer? It never happened. Honesty is usually only a good policy only if there are witnesses........Don't confess to anything unless you have too. And only under direction of a Attorney. Done a lot of crazy stuff when younger most of it illegal at one time or the other. Never caught. So all that never happened. Period. That being said you really, really, need to know if what you did or have done is not recorded or else it could come back to haunt you. If its on record you better put it there or they are going to find out sooner or later.

If you want to be 100% safe, see if pa will give you an mvr.
Speeding tickets, regardless of speed, in pa drop off after 12 months (in regard to points.).
You would have gotten 5 points for that violation, and pa does participate in other state's reporting programs.
I tend to be a cautious bugger on stuff, so I would ask pa for an mvr or ask a friend who is a lawyer. Otherwise, ulimately its up to you. None of us are lawyers, to my knowledge, so what we say is only what we can find or already know.
Best of luck! And if you find out something different than what we have said, let us know! -
I did slow down after that. Pennsylvania has a portal online to look up any infraction. I found the ticket on their site....will it show up on a criminal background check?

82 mph in a 55 zone,Mr.Leadfoot where was you going in such a hurry?I'll just bet that ticket is somewhere on your record.Maybe check with the courthouse or PA where u received it.

I would imagine so. Have you renewed your license recently? The DMV only checks records when your license is due or you renew.
If it'll affect you or not though that's a different story. (Getting your cdl, it's doubtful. It's getting employed where it may come up.) As another poster said, answer questions honestly. You're better off not getting the job in the first place over them finding out you lied.
...thank you Pattyj. I'm not out to get the op, but it'd come back to bite you in the ### hard if you hide info.pattyj Thanks this. -
Request a 10 yrs MVR not basic one. That will tell you if its on your record.
TNMT Thanks this. -
Patty, believe it or not I was taking my mom to Ikea..Vilheim I agree, I don't wanna fudge this up, honesty, especially when it's documented. Either way the 3 year mark is in June.
And no, no license renewal recently
