The carriers are looking for honesty... besides a clean MVR. So you don't mention the convictions removed from your MVR, but they show up somewhere else... now there's a question to your personal integrity. The next thing they wonder about is what else you're hiding. Followed by the thought that there are better candidates out there.

I fully get what your saying. I never had any careless or wreckless operation tickets or DWI, nothing major. Just a handful of seat belt tickets and one exipred registration ticket over the years. I already emailed the recruiter I have been working with to hear what she thinks. Im 36 with a next to spotless background and I worked IT for a long time so I'm just use to sticking to the facts and not much more or less. I should hear back from her on Monday and if she wants a longer list that what I provided I will be more than happy to turn it over.

I did my app with the guidance of the CDL school and just listed what shows on my record today as per their instructions. Then again they want $6,000.00 and they run a business so now I'm going back and checking and verifying the schools answers with carriers and the people on this great website.

    Thanks again

Yeah they do. They gave me a Rohel and Werner application. I filled out the Roehl app along with a few on my own. Even as a new guy i knew better about the Werner company. I know I want to do reefer so i narrowed it to Rohel, Prime, SNI and Shaffer. Still going over the pros and cons and I.was never much for changing jobs so i want to pick one and stay put.

Any tboughts on my list of 4?

Prime will push you to lease, the money can be good if you stay out 4 to 5 weeks and only take 2 or 3 days off. Werner has slow trucks and lots of accounts that require multiple stops and unloading example (Dollar Stores) Shaffer is a great choice, good equipment and good pay, solid company they are owned by crete. Rohel is also a fair choice. I don't know much about SNI. My top pick is SHAFFER

Prime does not "push you to lease." In the three years I spent on the company side NO ONE said a word about it to me.

To stay on track for a moment, I did have 2 issues on my MVR from 2009 that have since been removed from my drivers abstract but still within the 5 year window so I updated my info with my recruiter and it doesn't seem to be a problem. I was just concerned if I remembered them at a later time such as orientation on a paper application. I read stories of people being sent home for that sort of thing even though what was left off wasn't a big deal.

I put prime on my list because of my own research and everything I read on this forum from your write ups. No company is perfect you have to pick what would be a good fit and what you are willing to deal with. Pretty much choose you battle and if you know what your walking into it shouldn't be a problem.

The other on my list SNI (Schneider) of my 4 I put them in 2 groups of 2. Roehl/Shaffer and Prime/Schneider. My reason being is that I'm a new driver and I know I want to pull reefer and they all have it but Prime/Schneider have just about everything so if I want to try something like tanker I could put the request in.

The most common reason for people not being happy with their CPM seems to be from jumping from company to company so I figure since at the moment I'm 100% sure I want to go reefer I have yet to be on the road and see how this business really works so who knows what I might think 6-12 months down the road so that's what I like about Prime/Schneider. I could request a change and I would think my years would keep rolling over.

As far as a lease O/O or anything like that. I'm 200% sure I would never sign that deal. I'm changing careers from IT to this and I just want to be someones employee and do my job with a yes sir, no'mam, thank you and good bye. Maybe even a "sure, why not" here and there.

    Thanks again,
