FFE (Frozen Food Express) is LTL and KLLM is lower 48 OTR.
FFE's OTR division was bought out by KLLM last year some time.

So to answer your question, yes to both. From what I gather, the LTL side is a solo company.
One of the more complicated buyouts....

    PikesPeak Thanks this.

Thank you! I have been emailing a person there that cant find my application, although I have done it online twice through FFE's website. Then that person keeps referring to KLLM website to apply. So, I am like ......wtf?

The response I received from KLLM this morning,

"You would have to have your cdl first, then you would go thru our refresher course for 7 days then go with a trainer for 6 weeks, then you would get hired by us KLLM as an over the road driver. I got your application, but I can’t do anything until you get your license."

This sounds like a great excuse to me, not to hire me, when they hire and train others. Oh well.

I was talking to them about their training program, and thats the answer I was given, not just walking in, and jumping in the drivers seat.

So yesterday (Monday, day 1) we spent about 45 mins talking about the overview of the program, and introduction. Then we were sent to another building for drug screen and physical test. After that we met with our instructors, 3-4 students assigned to an instructor, and spent the rest of the day learning how to double clutch shifting.
Today (day 2)we spent all day learning about turning and city driving, and more double clutch shifting.
The instructors here seems to be nice and knowledgeable. Ok im going to do the lil homework they gave us now.

pt919, who is your road instructor? Just a first name would suffice.
