I might not be “as” autistic as a few others, but I have my moments of “literal”.
Didn’t see any suppliers selling what I would want anyway (coax assemblies). So I was going to “forget” the recommendation.
Out of politeness to an old guy.

Twin Lead, with lead center conductor

what the hell is that? Twin lead with a center conductor?

L-E-A-D
The charge field excited by the conductor pair turns that lead into gold. -

If the meter on the transceiver isn't calibrated it doesn't matter what the meter says. Swing doesn't mean much if it's not reading what is going through it.

Just a thought...

Those meters are never calibrated, they are guesstimating meters.rabbiporkchop Thanks this.

Oh, well then somebody should tell Mark Sherman and lots of other radio technicians to stop telling people that. Sorry Ridgeline, you appear to be a knowledgeable guy but I beg to differ. Those meters can be calibrated. And they should be. Otherwise what's the point in having I guess the nation or something that is quite possibly entirely wrong? Not saying I'm right I'm just saying I disagree with that statement.

All meters at some point or another need to be calibrated. It's not a set it and forget it kind of thing. Which is why every bench should also be calibrated from time to time. No different with the meter on your radio. Again if it never need to be calibrated what's the point in even having it because eventually it would give a completely false reading.
