My 4 Month Review of Schuster

I see the troll is at it again.

 

I was told, and experienced it myself that Loves policy is roadside tires/repairs take precedence over trucks waiting for or in the bay at the shop.

 

Same here. I’ve been in a love’s shop before too when I seen them get service calls for roadside assistance and everybody that’s waiting in line. They’re at the shop gets bumped down

 

I missed the part about the post trip, which makes this somewhat more reasonable if he was shut down in a safe and legal place for a 10. What's still not reasonable is the shop telling him to drive that and forcing him to put his foot down and say no, that's not even close to being okay to run.

 

The shop initially asked me to limp it to Love’s after my 10. After thinking about it overnight, I wasn’t comfortable driving on the flat tire, so I called back and pushed for roadside service

 

Yeah my fault, I just posted that I didn't see you had written that you found it on your post trip, see my post above. Glad you got it all worked out and you weren't stranded on a ramp or something (which was what I was picturing in my head when I read your post).

 

It’s easy to ##### about the bad days but that’s just trucking sometimes. The good days have definitely been outweighing the bad. I have 1.5 years of experience in the last 3 years and I say overall I’ve done pretty good for myself. I’ve been getting home a day earlier than requested. I will usually run 5-6 weeks and request 7 days off and I haven’t had any pushback on that. Which i am very happy with.

Also had a decent July as far as pay goes. I had 5 total paychecks in July and I had a grand total of $8,381.83 hit my account. And also my first check of the month was short because of coming out of home time. I know some guys make more and some probably make less. I’ve always been a middle of the pack kinda guy.

 

Just another OTR McCompany. And this was probably after waiting 15 hours to get loaded at some dumb cold storage warehouse.

 

I’ve been pretty fortunate here as most of my live load/ unloads have been 2–3 hours max. I’ve just been fortunate in my short career to not have had many setbacks like a blown tire. That’s why I posted here because it’s a wealth of knowledge with drivers that 20 plus years of experience. Truckers report has been a great tool in my belt since I got my cdl.
