Hang in there, OP, something will come up... and be thankful you won't have to put up with any more BS from Schneider.

That’s not a bad option. They’ve got nice equipment, running the midwest. No idea on pay.

Man there was no chance of you seeing that 1000 per week. If you have to go on duty while loading/unloading just to get the hourly pay, it's a pretty good probability you would have burned up your 70 in 4 days.

Well... The offer said an average of 2,100 miles per week. I know better than to believe that would be the actual case, but run with it for a minute:

    2,100 miles ÷ 50 mph = 42 hours
    2,100 miles × $0.38 per mile = $798
That leaves $202 to get to a thousand
    $202 ÷ $15 per hour = 13.4666666667 hours
    42 hours + 13.5 hours = 55.5 hours

If the miles were less that 2,100, which I expected them to be, I would need an increase in on-duty time to offset the difference.

But regardless of whether or not the two types of pay added up to $1,000, I was supposed to have the guarantee for almost five months. That was a huge selling-point. As long as I got my minimum, Schneider could run me however.

But I now realize they probably weren't going to honor that either, at least not for each second week out.
