My advice to you is not to drive in it, as you don't have the experience yet. If your trainer asks to drive in it just say nope, not experienced enough. Now that said, he should not ask you to drive in it.

There's a lot of driving to do before we get to snow.. I wasn't planning on driving in it, I'm just nervous to even be in it in the mountains. Lol

OTOH, mountain driving, how to descend a steep grade properly, winter driving techniques, and actual experience in all of that while you have an instructor or trainer with you is money in the bank. Just think... next winter you won't be struggling, trying to figure out how you're going to do that with NO supervisor around to keep you out of trouble.

I already drove west Virginia and Maryland mountains.. no smoking that was good experience. Lolz Are the Rockies steeper grades? Were Going Chattanooga towards Nashville too... I love that stretch and those hills.

We will see about driving it this time... It's just the start of winter I'm sure I'll have plenty of experience before tnt is over. ^_^

Pennsylvania has short but much steeper grades. Colorado has very long grades that can lull you into thinking you can deal with them like Pennsylvania... until you hit the deadman's curve at the bottom. Learning to do any of them properly is important, and a lifesaver ( yours.)

It took me awhile to "unlearn" how to shift a manual in a 4-wheeler. I'd catch too much clutch, and get the clutch brake to slow the engine down too much. Fixed it by moving the seat back more.

you seem to ignore all my post and that's ok.But I have to ask why don't you request another trainer if this one isn't up to your standards? You have done nothing but complain about this guy.Are you ecspecting some sort of pity party from us?Quit complaining and request another trainer.Otherwise Keep on having this guy and his bad habits.Makes to difference to me and I doubt anyone else really cares.
