Ok, being totally truthful here, just how much longer did you think that trucking would stay in the dark ages in regards to paper logs? Everything around us has gone digital, from truck and trailer tracking to Pree Pass to Tolls, BOL,s even registrations, licencing and insurance is done online, along with IFTA 2290's state taxes and permits and about 100 other things off the top of my head.
With the size of the industry and the scope and sheer numbers of log books being filled out every day of the year, did you really think the pen and paper was going to last forever, Seriously, did you really think that??? -
Again. That's not the point. Of course trucking is going digital, at a pretty fast rate. What gets me is truckers trying to enforce bogus federal law on other truckers!!!KANSAS TRANSIT Thanks this.
-
What’s your solution, get rid of all the rules and let drivers drive 24 hours a day if they want to?tinytim and KANSAS TRANSIT Thank this.
-
No, there need to be rules. I wish they were a bit more flexible and always liked that paper allowed that 'flexibility'.
It just annoys me when people say elogs will ensure everyone follows the rules when I know better.lilillill and KANSAS TRANSIT Thank this. -
ANNNDDD that bring me right back to what I have been saying all along, you guys are picking the wrong fight!
Elogs were unavoidable, you can't win this argument because not EVERYBODY hates them,,,,,, AGAIN, fight to change the HOS, there you will have FULL industry support!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!peterd, longbedGTs, VTech and 1 other person Thank this. -
Paper never REALLY allowed that flexibility, people just took it for granted.
-
Even though your right, it doesn't help having fellow truck drivers enforcing bogus federal law for the Feds. Man, what wasted energy.
-
ELOGS or paper whatever but my biggest grip is how is it that a select few companies can tell and force millions of small companies onto something that’s isn’t necessary. If elogs work great for you’re company then great but don’t force it onto me. Maybe the ATA should pay for the unesecery cost that comes with elogs for us small carriers.
-
All you ELD fans chose to get them on your own ? Doubt it , but now you won't be happy till everyone is forced on them , you've become like some petty hall monitor .
Give it a break all the talk about safety is bull , your only worried someone is making a buck more then you.
And you justify your petty crap by claiming your some kind of vigilante policing trucking .DOGSLIFE, 7-UP, BoostedTeg and 4 others Thank this.
