Yes and the small companies and Owner ops get the pleasure of paying 500.00 or so a year to subsidize the large companies to save money on their back office. Remember all the ATA quotes saying how much money and time will be saved in automation HOS. No more mountains of paper etc. 3,000,000 times 500.00 - 10 percent. They were laughing at us all the time. We get screwed over by their paid for pols and bureaucrats and they laugh at us. I am so pissed off. Enforced by their paid for poodles at each State Dot as well. -
Someone probably asked this, but I don't have the patience to read 103 msgs to find out.
I understand you leaving after 5 hrs in the sleeper bc the shipper may not allow you to stay on the property, but why did you come back ON DUTY at 715pm after you had been in the sleeper for 75 min already ??
Now you have to start AGAIN.
Did I miss something? -
Because the shipper timestamps the paperwork at the time it was signed.DOGSLIFE Thanks this.

I Love everything Mr Barcode has to say- Complete Truthful scenarios!
Heres my Question Folks..............
What's going to be stronger ?
The 2.3 million drivers UNABLE to feed their families, and /or find stress relief under an ELD-OR
The ATA-ELD manufacturers and Legislation standing Firm on this new Rule??.
You can give me your answers now If you'd like- But Talk to me in 6 months from DEC.........
Lets See how this works out for the Driver who has no options for a "Relay" or Drop n Pulls- or a dispatch team to Pre-plan their week...
Lets see how this goes
You know what I see? It'll take that 1 driver to go Insane- Kill a bunch of Dockworkers OR Office Personnel With a Note stating Why- Other Drivers May not Follow that- But Will finally say "Weve Had Enough" WEVE SIMPLY HAD ENOUGH OF THIS
I understand what barcode is saying without him even saying a word.Forced ELD's are Not Practical for irregular route Live Loading/unloading carriers -
The following example is from a load I took on 11/21/17. Everything is 100% true, I can show anyone a copy of my e-log page for that day. This is why ELD’s, operating with current DOT rules, will run the trucking industry in the dirt. I left my home terminal in Charleston WV around 03:30 and had to take a short, dedicated run down to Bowling Green KY (regular driver was off) and then back to my terminal so I could get my trailer hooked back up and go down to Atlanta GA for delivery on 11/22 @ 14:00. Charleston to Bowling Green is a 5 hour drive one way…so I could drive down, unload, & drive back no problem. Well of course the customer scheduled 2 trucks at the same time so I sat there for 4 hours total which used all my “free” time and cut an hour off my remaining drive time. So I drove 5 hours down, slept in my bunk all 4 hours I was waiting at customer, and then only had 4 hours left on my 14 so I ran wide open all the way back but ended up running out of time in Cattletsburg KY, one freakin hour from my terminal! Since I took a 4 hour nap at customer, I was wide awake when I parked to take my break and couldn’t fall asleep until there was only 3 hours left on my 10 hour break. Anyways, I take back off after my pre-trip and one hour later I am back in Charleston. Then I realize I don’t have enough driving hours left to make it all the way to Atlanta after I had to use that one hour to get back to my trailer. So guess what? Yep, I lose the load and the money that went with it… all because of ONE single extra hour spent getting unloaded. Not to mention the headache and hard feelings it caused my dispatcher and the customer since it was still going to be a little late even with another driver. If I had paper logs, I would’ve made it all the way back from the first load and took my 2nd load the next day just as planned and everything would’ve been fine & dandy. I know some will say “Oh God you just admitted you would cheat and falsify your log” but there is a big difference between fudging an hour or so to stay on schedule or to get to a safe place and just flat out running illegal and driving 20 hours a day. Just because you run out of your 14 hours doesn’t mean you instantly turn into a dangerous killing machine. You’re too tired when your body says you are. Anyways, sorry for the long post but wanted to share a real life experience and my 2 cents.

And there lies the opportunity....
Out of anger and frustrations, I see opportunity (to name my price)
