Ok, now what happens if you are running on paper, driving that last hour out of time and you get in a wreck, even if it's not your fault?

I will tell you what happens, the company you work for in an effort to cover their ### will throw you under the bus in a heart beat saying they had no idea that you would do such a thing, they will still get sued and YOU will still be FIRED!

It's a CYA world out there, esp. when it comes to big trucks and lawyers, some of you really need to look at the big picture.

if all the hours are used up there is no 8/2.

the hos and eld mandate are custom tailored for the ATA and the now normal team operations the big carriers are going too.

DOGSLIFE and KANSAS TRANSIT Thank this.

    Piss poor planning
Why would you take a nap? You had to know you would have to take a 10 hour break soon.

And without elogs instead of the short load to Atlanta you could have made more money driving nonstop to El Paso, dream big

    On paper,
take the load to Bowling Green, drive back and get back whenever I get back.
Make a new log for that day showing I was off all day and head to Atlanta with a fresh 70.

On elogs,I’d stay awake in Bowling Green and take a 10 hour break on the way back and sleep during it.

he said its a 5 hour drive back to Charleston. it's 500 miles to atlanta from charlston. you wouldn't make it. you're captain of the ship would shut you down about an hour from atalanta delivery.

but man....you'd be one well rested little elogger!!

    I’m all for elogs,
mine does screw me out of my 30 minute breaks from time to time, but it’s not the end of the world
