well to bring you up to date i am very happy with may. I havent had any problems and plan on staying here i like the equiptment and the brooks terminal is pretty good. I ve seen other post about may here and i havent had any of their problems but im a laid back person i never call my dm unless its emergency. No company is going to be perfect Im happy where I am and not embaressed about it.

Glad to hear a good story amongst all the bad. My wife and I are going to school in August and will be based out of Phoenix and I see May has a depot there. Do you know if teams run dry van or reefer or both? I see dry van is 11 western and can't see the need for teams unless running all 48? Any idea? How was the OTR training and for how long before you ran solo? Or did you come from another company and just do orientation?
Thanks in advance. -
hey gazza good luck to you guys hope everything goes great. Yah mays team side is 48 state but if you do team you'll have your choice of trucks and you should avg 5000-5500 per week. As for me i have been driving for a while so i dont know how their entry level training is. From what i hear there is no set time its based on your skills ie. if you grasp it within 2 weeks then you can solo. As fro me doing solo as long as you keep your osl up to date such as eta and pta you shouldnt have to sit and wait for lds the longest ive waited is 2hrs but i always update my eta and am always early. Hope this helps if you have any other questions let my know.

fyi, i soloed out in 1 week as a entry level driver, and my buddy who came in 2 weeks later did as well.
just depends how fast you grasp the life/truck and your confidence level. -

I am also looking at MTC.
The drivers that I have spoken with either think the company is just above average or they love it. Although, I haven't talked with anyone in their lease program yet. I talked briefly with Darrell (i think that's his name), who I guess is in charge of the leases. Since I wasn't employed by the company, he was professional, but evasive. Do you have any info on that program? -
To each his own, though.
Good luck. -
I am looking at May, as I am trying to be very selective on whom I want to work for. The last thing I want is to be hopping from job to job, I want to find a place that I can fit in, and if you'll pardon the pun, I want to be there for the long haul.
Also as I'm in the northwest I want to find a Co that based or has a decent terminal close by.
