I hope i am posting this in the right place. I say truck accidents and figured it would go here. I apologize ahead of time if i am posting this in the wrong place. Okay now the situation,
I was heading down the highway in georgia headed to florida last saturday evening about thirty minutes south of macon when i say a deer in the middle of the road on the three lane. He turned around and ran directly into my truck. Driving seventy miles an hour there was not much i could do to avoid him. I spun him into the middle lane and a four wheeler ran it over also. It was a good sized deer and i am not sure but it had to have done some serious damage to the smaller vehicle after looking at the damage to my truck. I informed gainey of the incident and they said they will take care of it after the truck gets back to the conley yard. And was told i would probably just get a diferent truck. I was very surprised by this and was set back by them not wanting to get it taken care of at the nearest frieghtliner place. Just more proof of them going under and filing the bankruptcy two weeks ago. Gainey is a big mess as a company now but that is a different story. Here are the pictures of my truck and damage.

Glad to hear that you are okay.

Is that a headlight that's missing? Isn't it illegal to run without both headlights working?

YOU posted it in the right place Jack and thanks for sharing those photos.
Glad that you are ok. -
Our little brown friends strike again. We need to have an extended hunting season.

Won't you get nailed for missing lights?? That ticket won't be on them, it'll be on you.

see that is what i thought too but the scale house or inspection station didn't pull me in. I figured i would just tell them the truth and see what happened. Since it hust happened i was hoping they would let me go onto my destination and at the time i was guessing gainey would be a stand up company and send it too a freightliner dealership to get it fixed. After dealing with gainey for as long as i have i am more surprised by my thinking that they actually cared about there drivers. -
not sure. i will look into it before i move it again though. probably will make a few phone calls before hand.
