My Deer Incident

    So glad you are okay, Jack.

    I was in a car that hit a deer and it totaled the car.....completely smashed in the front end and pushed the engine into the drivers seat. My uncle had a broken leg but the rest of us were okay.

    Hey man, glad you are OK. Those #### things can just come out of no where, fast.

    I've had a few close calls with elk in the Flagstaff area. But so far I've been lucky.

    I would have you drive it in also. That is a 30-45 day repair at the Freightliner dealership.

    The cost to repair it at the home terminal would be about half, plus the expense of getting you into another truck that is who knows how many miles away.

    As long as no steering components are damaged it will be all right to drive. Just look at how many cars and trucks you see with only one light.

    If anything was left of the old light you could have duct taped it back on to not look so bad.

    At least that is what I would have done if it were my truck.
