Love the drive cam.
Got a verbal warning being caught asking Google, who was in a cradle.
"Hey Google" what xm channel is the vikings on?
Boss says next time it's a written warning.
Told him I'll just pull over at a pub and watch it.
My Driver Facing Camera experience (thoughts, please)?

Hi yes I've been driving for companies for over 4 years now all with driver facing cameras, the key to remember is its there for your own good, sure some will argue about privacy issues, like its some secret camera, however the driver facing camera generally does not run all the time, of course this will all depend on how the company sets up it. The ones I'm used to will only activate if you were to have a micro sleep the camera will come on then send a picture to the company that is tasked with monitoring the film. The only camera's that usually run non - stop are the forward facing, and if mounted on your side mirrors facing down either side of your truck. In most cases these cameras prove to be to your benefit rather your determent. The only people I find that are affected are those that wish to do things that may look suspicious while driving, e.g using phone or tablet while driving, or any other kind of dangerous driving. The best example I know where the cameras work in your favour is where your driving along the highway and someone were to cut in front of you therefore reducing your braking zone, in a situation where there was a pile up you could legally prove what happened and why your truck could not stop in time. There will always be cases for and against camera's, bottom line is it will be the way of the future so its a matter of getting used to them. Or refusing not to drive.
