@Bonita Nut
You did the right thing in my worthless opinion
What I’d do next would be to get on unemployment and ride it as long as I could
Bonita Nut Thanks this. -
Counterpoint -- if these other very competent, professional women can do it -- I think you could, too.

It's all about:
- the right training
- the right attitude
Also: I would not be comfortable with you delivering to their stores, given the calibre clientele that most of them attract.

Not in Georgia she won't.
Georgia is a "right to work" state which is an Orwelling term for "they can fire you at any time for any reason". And refusing to work would be one of those reasons.Bonita Nut Thanks this. -
I hear you.
They are going to make sure that I don't get unemployment.
But, how in the world are they going to explain how they got their justification?
I have no accidents or tickets on record.
We used the outward facing camera to see the driver inside the cab?
. -
I agree with you.
Now, the person making the final decision might feel differently?
I've seen bad claims approved and good claims denied, so, sometimes, you really don't know?
However, this is correct in GA!
There is wrongful termination/discrimination, but that's a totally different ballgame. -
But!
Read the policy once again!
"While operating a vehicle on work time, the Company requires that the driver's personal cell phone/mobile device be turned off.
In other words, if someone has their phone on while operating the trucks during working hours and has a possible accident the company is not liable?
Just sounds so strange to me.
On or off (how is it half way during "working hours")?
I have an accident on my blue-tooth yet, I was supposed to have my phone off?
Just sounds like a loop hole for the company to stay out of trouble KNOWING no one (and I mean no one) is going to turn off the phone.
So, EVERYONE IS IN VIOLATION EVERY MINUTE OF EVERY DAY UNTIL THEY WANT TO TERMINATE A DRIVER?
The policy is written to screw any driver over.
NO ONE turns off his/her cell phone. -
“Pay a fee or be fired “?
She’ll get paid unemployment.Flat Earth Trucker, ducnut and Bonita Nut Thank this. -
LOL Right!
Unemployment won't know this until I tell them.
I'm sure they WON'T say that, but I am.
I'm sure that I will have to appeal, and I have a ton of information to provide.
Pay $150 and agree to a driver facing camera although you are a female (1 of 2)and have NO accidents or tickets out of ALL the drivers for the last 5 years?
WHY do I need a driver facing camera?

Just consult with an employment lawyer.
