What a busy day......I figured since I'm doing a 34 hour reset on this load, I might as well clean the truck.
So someone at some point that had this truck was a smoker, the interior is supposed to be light gray and was in some places and in others it was black, brown, or like a yellowish color. But anyway a whole bottle of cleaner and 3 rolls of paper towels later I'm done, finally lol only took me like 5 hours.
I found 3 clothes hangers, 2 things of hand sanitizer, a blue tooth ear piece, a remote control to a TV/DVD player, a ton of trash all of this was between the bunk and the lower cabinet lol
I cleaned EVERY THING, the only exceptions being, the curtains because they are so black and a pain in the butt to clean so I said screw that lol, and I also haven't cleaned the seats or the walls in the sleeper (the fabric part) and obviously I didn't clean the bed either because I'm GOING to get a new one! But I did everything else from the door panels to the floor and the ceiling lol. It looks and feels much better, I can't stand dirty cars/trucks. When I was in high school I washed/waxed and detailed my car every 2 or 3 days even more often if It got dirty in between the scheduled washes. Even in the winter and this was VT so lots of snow lol.
Thats why I try not to look at the outside of my truck its pretty much hopeless. I'm going to take it to a truck wash to see how it cleans up (the company has an account with one of the truck wash places) but with all the rust on the front bumper, the faded paint, and the bent cab extenders, and the holes in the fenders, I don't think its do going to much but we'll see. I'm gonna see what I can do to make it look a little better if I can lol
So while I was cleaning I got side tracked a few times as I often do while cleaning....I decided to put my CB in, when I got my truck it had a little Cobra 18 with weather band (the weather band part didn't work) but other then that part it worked pretty good. But I already had my sweet Cobra 29 LTD Classic all Peaked and Tuned, with Echo and Talk back and all Blue LEDs, with an Astatic Mic, and a Cobra External speaker.......So I wanted to use my nice $500 setup instead of the $49.95 special that was in it haha. Any way I'll post a few pics below so you can see it how it all looks

If the cab curtains are in poor shape, ask the shop for new ones, both the windshield ones, and the full size ones. Don't know about Helena, but if you do it in Missoula, they will put them in for you. If you do it in Santa Fe Springs, you will find the package on your bed or they will hand them to you....
American-Trucker, wulfman75 and Wedge Thank this. -
Thanks! Thats awesome, now I have 2 reasons to go up there, I need new matresses, and curtains.

Hey at and everyone else I didn't get to read the whole thread I'm gonna be sure to read latter on and some of my ? are probably already answered in there.
But 1st is that a Frieghtliner? looks exactly like the interior of the truck My wife and I sat in this morning at a local dealer we wanted to see what the inside looked like.
W/S was one of the 1st co. I talked to when we finally said ok lets check this business out a little further and see if it might be for us. Roxy was very and helpful with my? and concerns and sent info pack also told me about this web site and the forum that was actually impressive to me.
One of the biggest concerns that we had was they only had a 10 day orientation no training time, and with some of the feedback about the way schools(cdl mills) actually work, is that really enough time to be comfortable with the truck? My wife has never driven a clutch and sometimes is a little nervous on mtn. rds. even in our Tahoe(I've never actully seen a rig on those particular rds.) We had planned on starting school at a tech. college in Jan. and our ultimate goal is to drive O/O.
My wife said the sleeper in that truck looked better than some of the places we stayed in on our many coast to coast border to border 6 to 8 week trips on our goldwing.
Shes Sold. Oh well time to close the golf shop and count the money(non of it mine).
Thanks
