Today i did my run, got back at 430, hit the dock by 5, worked the dock until 730 and came home.
Now last Sunday i fueled my pickup truck and drove it home and parked it (ran just fine). About an hour later i went to go somewhere and it wouldnt start....WTF. I grab my ether quick squirt into the air cleaner and it clacked around a little and started up, and ran fine all week long.....
At first i thought it was bad fuel, then an air bubble, then a clogged fuel filter, but with a shot of ether it started and ran just fine so i got over it....
Yesterday (sunday) i got to the same place i always do to get me some cheap fuel, and drive it home park it, and an hour later i went to go pick up my other half and it wont start....WTF! grab the ether nothing.....give it some more....nothing, 2 hours later still cant figure it out, so i borrowed my dads truck to go out and use to go to work.
This morning i left the key in the ignition of my unlocked truck and went to work (cant steal it if it dont start right? lol) anyway then around 7 i called my diesel mechanic and told him what was up, and what i had already thought of and looked at. He sent one of his guys over with a tow truck to get it (while i was at work). He calls me about 2 hours later, he pulled the fuel filter off and sure enough it was full of rust, so full that the test port wouldnt let any fuel out (i had tried this yesterday and wasnt sure why nothing had come out lol)
So now i have a problem...either the sending unit is crap and rusting away, or the lineing had wore off 1 or both of my fuel tanks and is rotting the tank away. Either way i have to drop the both FULL tanks to find out. So i told him to drop just the front tank for now and see whats up, i'll find out tomorrow what if anything i need to replace. Im 98% sure its the rear tank and or sending unit since that tank sat dry for years since the last owner never used it....but ive been useing both for the last 4 years...
Im going car shopping next weekend, i wanna come home in something shiny with a new car smell....

Must be nice making all of that big LTL money.
You sure you just havent been getting crap fuel from that same cheapo place all of the time? I've gotten some BAD diesel, I'm talking full of water and rust. -
Can I suggest a 370z AT? The S.O. would love riding around in it.
