that 'geeky technical stuff' is the difference between killing people or not so you will understand if some people take it seriously. But I don't think that was the reason, making sweeping generalizations about how poor a companies training is and only using one example of a load shift did it is my guess.

Good to see so many were worried about me, anyway I just got back last night from my Month Long Vacation in the Bahamas thanks to CondoCruiser Thanks again CC you should see my tan
Anyway lots has happend in that time.
A few weeks before i left, one of my friends Wrecked his truck (he works where i do), so he is out with a broken wrist, they fired him 3 days after the accident but was able to Challege and WIN a Appeal with Safty and get his job back. I'm not going to post details but the accident ended with minor cosmetic damage to the drivers side of one of our trucks and a big whole in that fuel tank, and the other truck involved flip his truck over and was trapped inside (stupid straight truck drivers) it was the Straight trucks fault.
Anyway then a few days later one of our "wonderful" russian drivers ran over one of our drivers with a fork lift (ran his foot over) and broke it. now this driver has been here a long time, he's 65 and was planning on retireing in January, so he's on workmans comp until they quit paying then he's going to retire.
Then the day after that another driver with 2 yrs with the company quit.
Also i last posted about our best run moving to nights causeing the need for 3 MORE drivers to have to go to night shift...and i had told them where they could put the idea of me going back to nights....So they ended up forceing 3 drivers with 2-15 years with the company back to nights and i got to stay on days YAY ME!
With all of this happening i've been able to get my run back that i used to do to Dandridge, TN, and if they're arent 2 runs for TN i get the first load even though im not the senior driver on this run, and the other guy is PISSED haha. Our shift starts at 0730am, so i come in at 0630, so i can get a truck/dolly/fuel/hook my set/ and pre trip and be OUT THE GATE AT 0730am...while the other guy comes into the yard in his POV at 0730.....so they moved me up to the #1 spot. Last thursday they gave me the only run and sent him home....so friday he came in at 0630am and had to call HQ to bump me off the run, since he didnt want the WV run they had him on....so i got that run, which ended up makeing me $40 more then him and doing alot less work the he had to do with all the crap he brought back so karma on him. and i know there is NO way he's going to come in that early everyday so im not worried lol
More good news the Idiot shop manager got bumped back down to being a mechanic because he cant seem to do his job, so they they replaced the 48 yr old Shop manager with a 25 yr old kid that is kicking butt and taking names out there! We used to have 5-10 trucks broke down behind the shop at any given time plus 2-6 inside the shop.....now your lucky to see 2 trucks out back and 1 or 2 in the shop!
I also blew a pup tire on NC74 the tue before thanksgiving, that took 3 HOURS to get fixed....then the very next tue i blew a BRAND NEW Drive (recap) on NC74 but this time east of charlotte going out to fayetteville, while pulling a Van with 10,000lbs of explosives that one only took 2 hours to fix. And i did make a SHORT video clip i put on youtube to show that drive tire break down was pissed haveing to replace a new tire lol.
I' m sure im forgetting and missing plenty of stuff but oh well.
American TruckerthePUNISHER and Wedge Thank this. -
Re-caps are useless. They save money in the short run but cost plenty in the long run.
