Support Staff - good or bad
How does the dispatch process work ? I know it's first in etc and you got control etc but are you gonna end up sitting 3-4 days for a reload or are they pretty good about helping you stay moving ?
Load advance ?
Fuel card to purchase fuel on ? Or do you have to self fund your fuel card -
As far as the loads out of Calvert City it depends on where they go.
We use TCH cards. Your fuel discounts are saved up and used for license/permits. Any above that is paid back to you.
Settlements can either be mailed or emailed.
Freight availability was very good last year all year. This year there has been ample freight, but not like last year. This is a trend that everyone is seeing, typical for an election year. I am very optimistic that this winter will still be profitable irregardless of what happens in November.
Avg gross per week, you could get 20 different answers to this question. It all depends on where you run and how hard you want to run. It's not difficult to gross $5000 a week. I did that last week in two days. -
TCH cards ? Do they have checks like comchecks or no ?
-
You get a "coordinator" and they will call you and offer you loads based on your criteria. Yes it is first in first out. I am almost always set up on my next load before I am empty with my current load. The only time I have done any sitting around waiting for a load is out in California.
You can get half the the load advanced onto your TCH card for fuel or whatever. Then after you deliver load, and scan your paper work in they will direct deposit the remainder. -
Yes, they have checks like comdata does.US MARINE Thanks this.
-
When you say direct deposit - to your bank account or your card then you just write a check for home like being paid on comdata ? Either way is fine just trying to understand their pay structure
-
To your bank account. Or you can have them put it on your card, I choose to have it sent to my bank account as there is no charge for that.
US MARINE Thanks this. -
Thanks
In the winter at Mercer to a guy willing to work can you gross 3000-3500 a week ( in the winter ) -
My only fear is taking on that 150.00 extra a week and equipment costs / trailer maint - etc . If the winter is gonna suck eggs .. Lol
