Using last winter as a reference that would be no problem. Last winter I never had a slow down, stayed busy and made good money. The last six months of 2011 I grossed over $100,000.

What? So I don't really get a discount at the pump? They keep the difference and use for that stuff? Seriously?

I think you can do it either way. Let them save it up and apply it towards your tags and permits or keep it yourself.

Allan M and DrtyDiesel Thank this.

Yes, I agree with Oscar. You can choose any way. Either let them save it and apply it later to your permits and tags; or you can preserve it yourself.. both ways seem okay.

Should I pull a flat or step? I do both every week where I am now for same pay. Which has more earning potential at mercer

Mercer rarely had freight over 2.00 a mile. On the rare occasion, after sitting for days and deadheading , it turns to 1.55 . How many times can you say " Are you joking?" to your coordinator. Mercer is still offering $2500 sign on bonus when they can not keep the drivers they got busy.. they are doing OK with their 24%, what do they care. The turnover is replaced at orientation twice a week.

funny how most of us are doing quite well, i notice from your other posts on the forum you havent been happy with dispatch services ,etc or anywhere else.

the fuel discount isnt saved at all, if the pump price says 4.00 and you get a 100 gallons the fuel ticket will read 400.00 dollars. but if the discount is 20 cents a gallon, only 380.00 will come off your tch card. the discount wont show on the receipt, but will reflect on the amount taken off the tch card.

if you have a credit on ifta it will be applied to your tag, if a deficit they eat it.
