I love it here! I'm also very aggressive, lol my coordinator tried to prepare me to sit for freight. lmao! He was afraid I was gonna be seriously upset. Like I just started driving. It's just funny I didn't get insulted.
I learn quick and I found the niche to freight here.

I'm glad you found your niche here. It really is the best company. Most guys usually takes a while to find their niche.
Myself, I'm just disappointed with the UPS loads. I should've just kept running the board. I turned it down last year, so I thought I'd try it this year. Now it close to christmas, so I like to stay close to home. Atleast with the UPS loads, they are round trip runs.

Freight is always slower in winter vs spring and summer. Some guys take good paying loads to nowhere. Then they sit. I dont sit. First I avoid the temptation and if I do bite, then im prepared to dead head to the freight. Some peeps will just sit. Maybe he has me confused with one of those guys.
Right now im headed to CT from SC. I deliver tomorrow. Im getting a pm at the ta on 95. Then im dh 100 miles to Jersey. I load and goto norfolk deliver thursday am. From there I go home to Charlotte. I load friday in Charlotte go back home. I head out sunday night going to MA with 3 stops along the way. I deliver tue. 2.60 p/mile. 989 miles. From there I will take w/e to get home til new years. Im prepared to dead head to freight even if it means I break even because im done for the year. Im closing out on a good load I think ;)

    Ps
Im told its not uncommon to sit 24 hours. Maybe the veterans here can articulate it better. I keep moving and always book ahead. And im willing to bounce. Norfolk charlotte is about a 350 miles bounce. Trade off is I go home to my kids and good paying freight. I drive 60mph to conserve.

And I'm still running these UPS loads. Go one run on Tues. and another tonight. And 4 booked for next week. Things are peaking up.
Guess I'll hang in there till Christmas, then get my headache back on over christmas. Kinda looking forward to pulling my step again.
