I'm doing great! I love it here at Mercer and will never leave. That should some it up! I will post a sorta negative for a change since it happened today. This is very rare btw I feel lucky that it even happened to me lol. Mercer for me is 99.9% drama free for me.
    OK here we go.
I screen shot every load I commit to. Don't know why. Frankly I only do it cause of skateboardman. He once said he prints his loads. I tend to mirror people that I view as successful I find it to be a fast track to my success. OK lets get back on track here.

Today I Empty in NJ and head 2hrs into PA to reload. I knew I had until 1500 and since it was 1130 I figure no sweat right? Traffic on 78 comes to a dead stop. I check google maps and see its pretty bad. Even though I knew I had until 1500 to get there I do what everybody does and I check my dispatched load page. I notice the freaking page says by 1400. I call the shipper and YUP! he says be here before 1400... I reroute around the traffic and see that I will make it by 1415. grrr. I check my screen shot and YUP it says 1500. Son of a ..... I called the agent and say what happened? They play dumb and dont know what Im talking about so I decide to tell them I have a screen shot and what do you know.... They made it all better. Called me back and said by 1500 is fine... I made it by 1359 anyway. Not a regular agent for me. thats the short story. I did give them a piece of my good nature because they should've called me if the schedule changed.

I guess I can thank skateboardman again for helping me.. lmao

I came here to Mercer not knowing anybody. I had no buds here already. I have since brought in 6 Buds and 3 more pending and 1 driver. So I get to find out who is good in terms of agents from my guys. This agent was unknown to us. Soon I can have a gang of 8 like the senate lol

Anyway I love it here. I'm a control freak and book 98% of my loads myself. I only call Mercer when I'm required to. Nobody bothers me and that's the way I like it. I do my thing and as long as I keep on doing it right I will be invisible.
My guys book 50/50. One guy is straight coordinator and he does awesome! Ranked 105/1500 in revenue his first 4 weeks here. I fluctuate between 200-400 out of 1500. I don't check often.

In your area today there are some 200+ load available. From 1.65 to 3.03. Most north of 2. I copied and pasted per mile rate and total in excel and I was gonna post that but I figured I would get PM's about that.:biggrin_25513: lol

I been here a while, love it, feel the same way.
Also don't care for the east coast agents, and upper new york agent bite me once also. Others seem to be great for the most part.
I print out every dispatch when I get it.

that's exactly why I print my load sheets, I also pay Verizon for detailed billing, if someone ever says I didn't call , I can show them proof a call or several were made. its what I learned in the army, cya

Thats funny you mention the Army. I learned some good advice from a Brig Gen from Tennessee. He used to train Rangers in GA. He retired lost his leg in a farming accident. Started flatbedding with one leg and used to take a rattle snake on the road with him. Good man! He used to say " If you ain't early, you're late."
    July month end.

Revenue speaking I had a very good month. I ended the month ranked 49th. I normally average between 200-400.
I know that's good however, I won't be happy until I'm #1 and even then I will probably not be satisfied. I got a new coordinator this past week. I dumped my previous one due to him just not being a team player. I couldn't place the problem on a certain thing. It did end in a confrontation which I wanted to avoid. Him and his supervisor couldn't understand what my problem was because I was making money. lol. Long story short. My new coordinator is proactive and supports my style. And that's all I ask really.
Again I book 98% of my loads myself and I'm happy with that. That may change because of my new coordinator being so proactive, I actually trust her. Now I can focus more on expanding my horizon. I have a new bug in me. Maybe becoming an agent. lol
Mercer is still great after almost one year later. Ive brought in 6 people and only 1 is struggling because of bad equipment. Hopefully he gets over those hurdles.
