marine driver1, the base plate deal is not a problem here. you may have search more on what ooida told you. you may not understand what i posted, mercer pays the fuel tax , you dont have to file the taxes, not one penny is deducted from you, you can actually buy where its cheapest and not worry about buying enough in each state. AND IF YOU DO END UP WITH A CREDIT , THEY APPLY THE CREDIT TO YOUR TAG. tell me how many people would be on the hook for the taxes, then turn around and give th surplus back to the drivers???

someone who is straight up, thats who. if you already have a tag, you can run it til it expires then they want you to run theirs.

they dont force you to run their tag, its what they ask if you lease to them.

apprently you have never been leased to someone who treats their drivers decently. i did 200 g on 104,000 last year. it hard for some to grasp but there are companies to lease to who are ok, mercer is one of them. if you let what some advice someone told you about a tag stop you leasing there, its your loss.

by the way, since you are just buying your truck , have you ever had to pay fuel tax?

Trust me Mercer Recruiters will not lie to you. What they will do is give you real information. What i did was fill out there online info pack and the next day I was contacted by email and everything was done threw email that way I had a record of what was being pitched to me and all my emails were answered within 1 to 2 hours and all my questions were answered with real numbers and nothing was being side stepped. If you agree to lease on with them then you will meet your recruiter face to face. easier to lie when your hiding behind a desk knowing you will never see the person your lieing too.

If you want to get ahead, listen to old hands like skateboardman. Not many companies will pay your fuel tax...even fewer would give you the credit. It sounds like a very good deal for contractors.

It is a very good deal here at Mercer. We are definately pampered, but as with any company there are a few that don't fit in. They are far and few in between.

yep, and you also do a sitdown with your coordinator, meet and talk over lunch 2d day of orientation. as said you will meet your recruiter and everyone else face to face. you are also allowed free roam of the whole complex, able to talk to anyone you choose , during the lease on process.

and oscar the kw, you put it as best as it could ever be put.
