Please don’t you the term “Down Syndrome”, it is a serious condition, that many families have struggled with over many years. I wish all of you never to have to deal with it. It can be a devastating condition that the entire family has to deal with. And the children born with it are loved as much as any other child in the family. And a side effect is that some are incredibly smart. And many have gone on to lead extremely productive lives, beyond their wildest dreams. They are people first, with feelings just like you and me. I know of a gentleman who has worked the breakfast order window at McDonald’s for almost 40 years. He NEVER makes a mistake with an order, and he has NEVER missed a day of work, in 40 years. Can you say that about yourself? He has trudged through blizzards, rainstorms, and 100’ heat. I’ve been nothing short of amazed. So please find another way to describe Prime, like “drank the koolaid”. I know some have had success there, but for many others it’s a nightmare.

I wrote a whole long post about not using the phrase “Down Syndrome”, and it didn’t post, bug I think.
I’m not gonna re-write the whole post. I just hope none of you have to experience life with a child, with this affliction. Talk about a difficult road! But it can be an incredible thing too, as many children/adults with Downs turn out to be amazingly smart. Can be a very rewarding experience.
And they can be productive members of society.
I used to go to a McDonald’s for breakfast through the drive-thru. The person who took your order over the speaker, and your money in the first window, had Down syndrome. He never made a mistake or screwed up an order, that I’m aware of. According to his boss, he also has never missed a day of work in 40 years working there. Through blizzards, subzero cold, heavy rain, or 100’ heat, nothing ever stopped him. How many of us can say that about ourselves?
I’m just asking the posters in this thread to refrain from using Down Syndrome, how about drank the koolaid?
ThanksTB John Thanks this. -

Do you pay vehicle insurance as a lease operator at Prime?
I’m considering going lease IF insurance like liability (the same stuff you pay for your personal automobiles) is not something you have to pay for. I don’t see anyone talking about vehicle insurance anywhere which is probably around 900/month -

Insurance runs me about $140 a week at Schnider
