See that's the problem with swift, no one tells you anything, you have to live through a painful learning curve before finding all kinds of things out especially the odds and ends on various pay outs and the tricks to collect. It shouldn't be like this with a company that has been established for so long and supposedly one of the leaders in the industry. Employees shouldn't have to guess or screw up attempting to do their job at the best of their ability to being properly compensated....so the only failure I've seen so far with swift is not from individual drivers, but from a company that lacks the proper management and leadership to properly lead....

Whew what a day. Indiana, the South Bend area in particular was a mess. Spent the previous night at a small TS in Peru when the last 90 minutes or so of my driving time presented a mini blizzard. Got up to not much better conditions. On the way to deliver our load of tires we saw 3 four wheelers in the ditches in a five mile span. Then two more before we arrived. Roads to customer were completely snow covered so you had to sorta guess the boundaries. Made it safe then got to play lumper for the first time "rolling tires". I found that actually fun. Crazy right? Headed out to our next load, another "high security" shipper, Campbells soup. Took I-80. Westbound was shutdown for the first 9 miles. We were eastbound, tyvm. Saw four vehicles including 3 big rigs in the ditch or wrecked hitting an overpass (pickup truck). Planners sent a qualcomm message asking if we could drive as team. Of course we had been sending them messages since last night I had the hours to now drive team. Oh well least we know they got our messages. As I type we're at Michigan termimal, doing wash and going to get a shower
Then p/u a "don't come early" load to Joisey with a load ready when we arrive going to Jawja. Should get my first taste of wheels don't stop rolling team driving. I'm glad we're heading south. Hope we get a few going left coast.

Team driving has been going well. We've only had three legit "team" loads though. Took me a bit longer than expected to settle into the night pattern especially with the desire to see the gorgeous landscapes. We've done Indy to LAX. A short non team to just north of where Old Blue Eyes left his heart. Saw the southern portion of Sonoma on the way to Sparks NV. That load went to Seattle area. Then our second team load from Seattle to the Show me State. You will enjoy team driving

Are there any reliable ways to add on pay to the .39 split? Hazmat pay or the like? 39cpm for teams is super low

I think they'd be splitting the .39 so it would be .195cpm each. If that's the case it would seem low to me. I wouldn't drive Team for that, in fact I can't think of a number I WOULD drive Team for. But that's just me.

    Cjh_army Thanks this.
