Personally I don't think your cut out for trucking. But thats just my opinion from 1 post. Positive thinking and a positive attitude usually makes for good results. You are a newbie and are all jacked up and salty already.
Welcome to the wonderful world of trucking. It's a shock to the average person that has never "lived" at his job. Knight is one of what we call the "big uglies". One of the poorer companies. But ok to start out with. In my humble opinion what makes trucking cool to me is never take it seriously. I'm on vacation. A job not worth doing , is a job not worth doing well.
Yes what Bigblue19 said. Postive attitude goes a very long way. My attitude is why sweat it , I'm vacationing. This is my post retirement job , have 0 debt of any kind and plenty of bank account at the end of every month so I don't let anything out here bother me. Seems to be working .....
I think you might be right. Attitude goes a long way and I'm working on having a better one. I realize that there are things I like and things that I don't but I'm focusing on the good things and not letting the not so good ones ruin the great adventure I'm having now. I learned some lessons the hard way but am chalking it up to experience. It's not a perfect company. Better than some worse than others. So yeah.
so you got no experience you read a bunch of complaining on here and know every thing about how to run the company you were assigned a "newer" truck and lost a trailer in traffic and caused an accident now china town is gonna help you take your 6 months experience and find a great TRUCKDRIVING job!!!
I dunno about Knight. I was in touch with them out of CDL school and didn't really care much for what they were dishing out. I'd get the six months and go someplace else. Heck, at 3 months you could apply at Interstate. They are based in Washington state.
I kinda felt that way, too. I was just "happy" that he mentioned @Chinatown ~!!! <<<< we should put this guy on comish.
