leannamarie (or anyone else who knows),
I saw a few posts back that you mentioned the Seagoville yard is still open, but only used as a drop yard. And before that, another poster mentioned they'd dropped the Texas regional run.
Do you know if this is still the case? Looking at KLLM's website, it still mentions there is a Super Texas run. Do you know if it's still offered and what the run consists of?
Thanks,
Andrew

I'm sorry, but I have no idea about that.

According to the recruiter, yes, the Seagoville drop yard is still open. I directly inquired because I live in Fort Worth, so this is important to me. I also asked if there is parking for my four-wheeler while I'm out, or if I'd need to get a ride to the yard when it's time to come home or time to go. Apparently there is parking, although as I write this, I haven't seen it and don't have any clue how secure it is.

It has been a long time since I worked with this company. I started with them right out of truck driving school almost 14 years ago. I can remember thinking that orientation was very extensive there in Jackson, Ms. I spent two weeks with my trainer who was very good at his job. I learned alot. I ended up with a great dispatcher (who is no longer there) and spent 3-1/2 years driving OTR with them. I saw alot of the country, made decent money for a newbie, & made bonus each and every time.
The only reason I left was to find a local job. I had a new wife and baby at home. There are alot of good and bad things about companies and I feel that things are what you make of them. We can make them bad or good but it's our choice. I enjoyed my time with the company. I found my local job and have since moved up to Virginia (last 3 yrs) and I am getting ready to move out to Texas at the end of this year.
Well, good luck to those working for KLLM and to those thinking about going to work for them. I would sure give them another run for their money! Don't forget, if a pretty waitress asks you what KLLM stands for you tell'em "Kute Lil Lovable Me"! or "Kinky Lil Love Monkey"!truckdriver402, andrew5184 and Baack Thank this. -
Just have to hope she cant spell LOL -
They did, last I heard, discontinue the Texas Regional run. I don't know why they haven't corrected that on the website. I know somebody has worked on the website since they dropped Texas regional because it was before they revamped the site to put the new Cascadia in the header.

i'm in jackson for new-hire orientation now. if it's any consolation, the driver handbook still lists the dallas maintenance terminal, too, as does a bunch of other new-hire paperwork. sadly, i'll be out of jackson, tho i live in fort worth.

The only three locations you can be out of, Ga. Ca. or jackson. Watch out for that pole sticking out on the test course when you have to take a righjt at a light in town.
