I just talked to a recruiter today and she was very nice and helpful. I told I have not driven in over 4 years and she told me to take Sage's 80 hr refresher course. She also asked if my driving record was clean, I told her it was...no accidents, tickets, DUI's and she said I should have no problem getting hired. Of course I don't believe everything a recruiter says but at least she answered my questions...even answering the phone is a plus! Most of my call's to other companies end up in voice mail and I never hear from them no matter how many times I call!

Going back to driving because I was in real estate, which I can assure you is much worse than trucking right now. Also my now ex-wife did not want me to run the road and I did enjoy truck driving when I was in it. I know its tough now in the industry but for me it would be an improvement over real estate.

Hello Driver Bill, Yes, I work for KLLM. I was injured last July. I tore my shoulder rota cup. I have had two operations on it and 8 months since I have driven. I'm on worker's comp. Ins. It's been a long painful recovery. The 5th wheel got me!

I'm finally upgraded, i.e. graduated from training, and I will be getting my own company truck in the next few days!! While I was in Jackson for my upgrade tests, I noticed that Woody is no longer with the company. He was the orientation instructor, and I might add, an excellent one. I am sorry to see him go. Not sure where he went or why.

I am looking forward to driving solo now and am excited to have made it this far. Good luck to all of you still in the orientation/training process.

Bought me a REAL CB...a Cobra 29 LTD Night Watch...now I just have to get it tuned, peaked, tweaked and pimp out my system. I have a microwave so I can have HOT food. I'm sending my stallion to the trainer next month......first foal is due the 23rd of this month....

    Life is good!
