The last couple of years have been roller coaster rides as far as miles. Looking at the last 11 months I've been averaging close on 10k a month. However this is weeks of 1800 miles and weeks of 3500 miles. I'll get 3 good weeks then just die. This last week has been pretty ugly 2200 miles ending in Chicago with a 5 stop load that does not final til tues(this means I do not get paid for it til next week). Too many food loads with del appt cast in stone. And nothing I could hustle. I'm going to try to get last stop off early but chances are not good, receiver is a food service warehouse(but only 3 pallets and less then 100 cases go figure)
because thats what ALL the drivers who are always in the terminal and not running are saying...lol. in all seriousness though, when a company does something PROACTIVE like stopping the matching 401k contributions... for the benefit of the company during a time of economic unrest (hello US economy) there are some who use that to claim "doomsday" scenarios...lol...
