I did my best to wring the most out of it.
The only drawback to the 388 was the backing radius & blind spots when you are backing...would bite squeezing into the parking late at a TS. -
Well smaggs, you ever gonna come back to work? You didn't become a skitzer from being in phx to long have you?
-
Well, I talked to a recruiter at Central Ref here in Salt Lake. And they allow riders whether they are blood relatives or not. Cost is about $10 a month for insurance.
I think that and the fact that they have the recommendation of my fiance, from business she did with them outside of trucking, is the reason I'm choosing Central.
I'll still be checkin in here and there. Thanks for the input. -
Did a Tcall... NATURALLY, the following occurred...
Got the trailer. Here is the list of things wrong with it.
Scaled WAY illegally. There was no way the driver scaled it. I was 2500 lbs over between my drives and steers.
7 of 8 trailer tires below 85psi
1 of 8 trailer tires below 20psi
VERY low antifreeze level on reefer
Oil level below "good" range on dipstick
Load locks laying on floor. I could see them through the tiny trap door. Nothing I could do, it was sealed.
The driver grabbed this trailer and got it loaded in Las Vegas and then dropped it in the PHX yard for me to pick up.
Of course... I filled the tires up and as soon as I got halfway to Flagstaff on I-17, the lowest tire blew out. NICE! Ruined my drive time for the day. Got me reprimanded... I guess nobody passed the memo to my DM. I left him voicemail and Qualcomm messages about the bad trailer.
This is business as usual with Knight. These people continue to enable lazy drivers to work for them while I always do my pretrips and carry spare fluids to top off antifreeze and oil levels.
I freeze my nads off on a regular basis filling up trailer tires.
I can't wait to find a different job.sammycat, JAX853, American-Trucker and 1 other person Thank this. -
This is about the fifth or sixth time I've done a Tcall and it has gone like this. My favorite incident was with this guy... I can't name him, but his first name would give away his BS. He had a super heavy accent and played stupid when I talked to him. Kept pretending he couldn't understand English and he gave me a trailer with no fluids in it and it was scaled illegal and had two blown tires. He blew them the previous day and limped over to the stop I was at and of course, I GOT STUCK WITH waiting for new tires... while he got to go home on time for Christmas.
STAY TUNED. I'm going to start beating other Knight drivers over the head with my tire thumper when they do stupid #### like this. I've had enough!!!American-Trucker, Jarhed1964 and sammycat Thank this. -

Well, I guess it's time u asked the moderators to move your thread over to the bad company section instead of your favorite. Lol. Well maybe you can talk to Kevin knight and get him to change company slogan from(your home town national carrier) to (red rover red rover, all knight drivers bend over). Loltruckerdave1970 Thanks this. -
