AT,
This is where we agree to disagree. Yes many people could not choose to drive for these pos companies as you call them and be jobless. However, we have families to support and sometimes there is no other choice but stick it out for a year; especially for those people in S. FL.
I do agree that as soon as you can move on, you should. FYI, W/S does not hire in FL and I do not think people would be willing to drive to the locations that W/S does hire out of.

Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

I paid for my school, and anyone serious about getting into trucking can get a job work for a few months and save the $3000 to go to school, OR like you said they can be a slave for a year at $300 a week and get a CDL and a crap job.
It doesnt matter what you drive, what matters is quality of life and your paycheck. I dont drive a pete anymore i drive a 10 year old Sterling Day cab, but my job couldnt be easyer, take less effort, and pays great. Same with watkins no petes their either but you will be treated very well and make a ton of money (for a new driver)

i wasnt talking about FL drivers, i was talking about smaggs and the other 90% of the population that lives where most trucking companies DO hire. People that choose to live in FL/NH/VT/ME/BFE wherever have to choose, a good job or live there thats their choice, i moved south from VT.

Smaggs,
You earned my respect the day you started this thread. I wish you the best of luck wherever you go.
KHstraitgrl, Jarhed1964 and anj8488 Thank this. -
AT, this argument can continue forever and im leaving the fight solely out of respect for smaggs thread. I will leave you with one analogy to decipher, you may not understand it now, but one day you will.
AT, there will be a time when you find yourself sitting in a clinic getting a physical renewal. The doc says, "I'm sorry but I can't qualify you to drive" but why doc??? He explaons: Your body is worn down, its in horrible shape. "But doc I feel awesome" . The doctor explains " I can't see how with that giant ego you have been carrying around all these years "," im very surprised you dont have brain swelling from "knowing it all".
One day, that will make perfect sense. The Challenger Thanks this. -
