AT keep the line haul. It seems that you may get your foot in the door on the other gig. I will be in Kansas City in a week and half to see all the shinny haulers. PHZ to NC would be a cool haul in one of those Haulers.

Yep, I drive for Lonestar. Been here a little over 3 months now...and I love it. Like any company there are mInor
irritations occasionally, but I haven't been happier with a job in a long time. They'll run you as hard as you're willing to run. Freight base is good. Office personnel are helpful and usually entertaining to boot on the phone. I will say this though...one of my close friends followed me over here...and has been fired already for not being on the ball with paperwork. As long as you do your job the right way and have a decent attitude it's great. I'm looking at being here a good long time, personally.

I just got my level bump to level 1 last week and have already finished my first level 2 upgrade load. And also to the other current guy....any of you been to La Cygne KS recently? Was there last week and it took them 5 hours to get 1 guy unloaded.

I unloaded there last wednesday in La Cygne. I was in and out in an hour. I agree on the whole being happy and not needing to look for another job. There have been quirks but.. overall.. best company i've been with.

Never been there but have been to a couple other places that took about that long. It's going to happen eventually.

It’s getting down to decision time whether to sign on with Lone Star Transportation or TSMT (Tri State Motor Transit). Tough when both Companies have good offerings. Both want to start orientation on Oct 29[SUP]th[/SUP]. Lone Star is in the lead.

What is home time like at Lone Star? I live in North Texas and there is a driver for them that lives here and for the most part he is home every week. He has been gone two weeks this time but this is the first time that he has been gone for more than a week? I would be interested in them if they could get me home almost every weekend.

I live in fort worth and its hit or miss on whether i'm home on the weekends. In 6 months here i've been home or at my girlfriends in Ardmore, OK about 80% of my time out for at least a 34. Last weekend I had 2.5 days home on a run thru. They want you out at least 3 weeks before putting in for "official" hometime... but with getting through on the weekends I tend to stay out 5 to 8 weeks before I take 5 or 6 days off.
