Next time your at a terminal see if they have any damaged tarps you can cut into good tarps. I always had a few for when I'd run into a problem.

I left at 215am this morning Drove 606 miles today from TX to Fairfield, TN. Got here and "fixed" the tarp problem by Retarping it with both of my small tarps (per dispatch). Only problem is both tarps were not big enough, but since the load already had both big tarps on it (they overlap) I tarped the front and the back with the small tarps since thats where the holes were...
Took me 2 hours, but i got 150+ bungies, and added to straps to make sure the 2 small tarps dont fly off.
What ya think.....

dnt think youll have a prob. just sucks you had to tarp a pretarped load and that they gave you crap tarps when you dropped almost new ones. oh well. just in a days work. be safe and keep us posted.

You have the right attitude, AT. Too many company drivers would have said F*@k it, they gave me bad tarps to work with...who cares if it gets wet. Keep taking pride in doing the job right.
SheepDog, American-Trucker, Fratsit and 6 others Thank this. -
You'll be fine. Just couple of extra tarps to roll. You did it right so there will be no rain within 500 miles of you. That's how it goes sometimes. Pilot does suck. Only ones I ever cared for were the Pilot/Bosselman in Grand Island and couple others.
American-Trucker Thanks this. -
That's good tarp job, one thing I learned about tarping, if air can get under the tarp so can rain, have a good one.
AirborneII, SheepDog, American-Trucker and 1 other person Thank this. -
started at 2am again today, ran 616 miles to Toms Brook, VA. Ran into a little rain more of a mist here and there. But the tarp didnt move at all, i figured it would at least catch a little air but it didnt at all.
I'm stuck here till monday i deliver 38 min away on monday morning.
Someone asked about Tarp pay = $30 (keep in mind we tarp a very SMALL % of our freight)
