Yeah, can't speak to that truck, as Pride didn't have anything older than an '09 (other than local) when I started, and none of them had them. Might have been a dealer installed APU after Pride turned in the lease.

Yeah, it is possible they flirted with them back then. Maybe that is why Steve said they weren't practical for their business model.

All the stories I have heard about the inverters not being allowed is because of fires in the trucks related to the inverters. Same reason Knight had banned them. When they switched to the Volvos(and I think it had alot to do with the fact that Knight always takes one battery away so you run on 3 not 4) Several had fires started and the inverters were blamed. I ran a Big inverter when I have a columbia and just disconnected it when I would pull into a yard. But I never trusted my Volvo, so I had one that plugged into a Lighter socket to power my Laptop.

Good to hear they're taking care of you, how many miles are you averaging per month? And since they only run reefers what would be a rough percentage of live loads versus drop &hooks, and do they pay detention?
