1995? And been a truck driver for six years?
And you write about something that occurred more than 18 years ago?? WOW!!
What sort of relevance does your negative post have, then?
I'm not a psychologist, but I might recommend that you "get over it" considering that it happened so long ago.
Okay...... "Old-Timer".
I'll go 'bout my own way.

Yes, 6 years, good to see you can do math. Truck driving is my second career, for the second time.
get over it? One day I will exact revenge and they will rue the day, but until then I will tell the story of the way they treated me. Thanks for listening. -

I quit Pride Transport for a period of about two months to "chase" a higher cents per mile. My thinking was that higher cents per mile meant higher income. Boy..... was I ever wrong!
I quit Pride Transport for a smaller company than Pride (Pride only has something like 450 trucks and drivers) thinking that the smaller company and higher cents per mile would be better for me.
In reality, the higher cents per mile wasn't CRAP compared to what Pride was paying me, at a lower cents per mile rate. First, Pride pays for all miles driven - empty, or loaded. The other company gave me a higher cents per mile, but only paid a "route rate" based upon their negotiated price. In order to save money, the other company avoided tollways - having me drive routes that would often be more than 100 miles over "route rate" AND add more time to my driving day.
Secondly, Pride Transport pays A LOT of different pays, bonuses and incentives that are REAL. They really do pay a guaranteed detention rate. They really do pay an impressive fuel savings bonus and they really do pay a mileage incentive. The mileage and fuel bonuses aren't some freaking number that can never be reached, no matter how hard you try..... instead - it is obtainable by almost any average driver.
Pride Transport is also the ONLY company that I know that is putting satellite television in their trucks and a good majority of the trucks have refrigerators.
Am back to Pride Transport again. Knowing what I know now..... it would take a very hard sale for me to ever leave Pride Transport again. There's a lot of "things" that the other trucking companies will try to "hook" you with, but there really isn't a lot of comparison when you really sit down and look at the big picture.
Seriously..... they really don't stuff ya with a bunch of BS.Chinatown Thanks this. -
That's good to know that you went back to them. I'm really happy to have made my decision to go with them. I'm really excited to see what kind of money I'd make. I'll be there February 2nd. Also you can look me up on Facebook if you have one. Dale Price is the name. I have a orange picture as my profile picture.

I will make .42 per mile after bonuses and such, I can if I choose run dedicated (5-600 miles outside of Salt Lake home every other night), Regional (11 western) or national. all trucks have satellite tv, most have a fridge. Trucks are equipped with XM, but if you want that, you need to pay for it. All trucks are 2013 or newer. Since I had a break in driving I will have to go out with another driver for a week or so at 700.00 a week.
Jeff, the owner goes out regularly on runs. A lot of the management, recruiters, and dispatch are CDL holders that have driven, and many still like to take a truck and go out.
