Please show me where I can get a 2011-12 truck for 25 grand and I'll go buy one today. That isn't even close to wholesale or trade in cost.

as usual fortycalglock, someone who more than likely has never bought a truck.
-
No doubt skateboardman, I'm looking to replace my loyal starcar, and I've been looking for a 2010, which has then had me looking at 2015's due to high used pricing.
-
We understand that now. Don't have much experience at all with the auto trans. Made a mistake in buying one with auto trans.

We got the dyno done. Not sure about ECM. Are both tests generally done at same time? If not, then neither one of us thought to inspect the ECM
-
they usually do that when they run the dyno,
look I know it may seem we are giving you a hard time. its not that at all. I know when you buy a used truck, you hope nothing goes wrong til ya get your feet on the ground.
keep a good outlook , get it to a dealer, and try to get it sorted out. then go at it. I know you are down and feel bad right now. but find the problem and get back at it.
that is more than likely a old USA truck, maybe contact them directly for a maint report or have intl run the vin for any warranty issues.ShelbyKay Thanks this. -
shelbykay, I still don't know the exact issue you are having, is it the truck wont start ? because its senses it is not in neutral, I know you re getting codes, but will the truck not start or starts but wont move?
-
We appreciate the advice. At first I thought I was just being given a hard time, but i know y'all are trying to help. It def would've been ideal if our feet were on the ground before an issue arose.
We are both trying to be positive, but its definitely difficult sometimes. We know the truck passed Awesome on the dyno with 87% so these issues we are having are unexpected and have come at one of the worst possible times.
It is an old USA truck. We will see if we can get any info from them. I know now that there are recalls for this particular prostar. -
The truck starts but it won't turn over(I think I worded that right). A mechanic from a Pilot was saying that it seems like the issue is with the brain of the truck like its not getting notified that we are trying to drive. But I don't know if that could be it because it actually happened while in movement a couple days ago. -
Something to remember is that typical Truckstop mechanics can barely put the correct filter on the truck, getting them to diagnose a drivetrain problem is a waste of time and money. You would be far better served posting your problem in the garage section than in a thread about the dealer you bought the truck from.
